After the results were made public , it showed Ireland just missed the final by 1 point difference. Portugal was punished a 50% points penalty for not casting their vote in time and also missed the final. Luxemburg by some considered as an outsider didn't make it to the final either. Ginie Line (ended 17th) and said on the pressconference that it was her 'dilemme' Italy had a great ballad also and had to perform later in the draw.

Ronalda (Portugal) stated: "Seras meu! " (It should have been me! - very free translation) and left the arena in tears.

Meanwhile the Irish team was furies of missing the final by one point and focussed on the countries that qualified and called for plagiarism of the dutch entry claiming Jeroen van der Boom covered David Bisbals song 'Silencio'.
