ORF, on behalf of the whole Austrian public, wants to welcome the new management! Greg, Babis and Alan: we wish you good luck, good nerves and also a lot of fun for your new tasks. ORF wants to say that it is very satisfied with the new managers, and strongly believes that they will continue the success of USC. Austria guarantees participation in all 4 regular editions of 2008.
Furthermore ORF wants to say thanks to the passing management, Liza and Jörgen. You have built an amazing online contest - for me, Mack, the best that I have ever seen. Because it is not just an online contest with songs and results - it is a community, where the players meet and talk with each other, whether in the chatroom or in MSN. I have met so many wonderful persons here and I don't want to miss that. No matter if we had fun, if we argued or if we just talked about our passion. A wonderful community has grown, and you can be proud of that!
I hope that we will see you often in the USC chat, also when you won't be managers anymore. I am honored that I could have been active member at least for 2 editions under your management.

We appriciate your kind words very much and it very satisfying knowing that the spirit of USC will continue without the two of us in managent. We couldn't agree more about USC being something more than just the "send song, vote, read result" contests that have a lot. ISC was the model when we started actually with it's long history and the certainty that it would go on and on and on. But we wanted also the spirit of community that we found in "Eurosoul", the 2005 soulseek online contest. These two things and a very all covering well thought through rule system would built the foundation. Later on the chatroom of USC was created because people in ESC chatroom was very annoying and irritated when we spoke about the new spanish song or the national final of norway and these esc people thought it was about esc and was very confused when we spoke about the greek usc voting for example. And then the USC History section was created we, who are among the dedicated lunatics, started to love USC as a concept of finding the greatest non ESC music of Europe. If USC goes into the 2009 year, which we actually believe now when we know there is competent and dedicated CEO, then we promise that we will write the whole history of the creation of USC, how it started, and how it almost closed down even before it stated and all the rest of the happenings behind the scen during the first 2 years. So once again thankyou for your kind words and enjoy the new year with a lot of wonderful music and friendship.
