Once again the old music conflict between Greece and Sweden has started. And again Helena Paparizou is in the middle of the battlefield. When SVT learned that ERT has selected "Antique" and their "Follow me" as the Greek entry in USC 2001 things heated up. "We already had this song selected for Melosong 2001 and now we are very dissapointed that Greece has stolen one of our acts" There has been death threats and the dispute is now so intence, especially when you consider that one of the managers of USC is involved. Anonymous sources within SVT say to UNITED MAGAZINE that there is little hope to make Antique compete in Melosong now. We have found a chat extract between the Swedish and the Greek heads of delegations that colourfully describes what is going on. Some ERT executives we spoken to demand an excuse from Mr Javi for his threats. Mr Babis was accused of being arrogant, well, that is not the first time this happened. Helena Paparizou has not been available for any comments at this stage.

The rules state that the artist has to be from the country. What exactly means with "be from" is a delicate question to be sorted out. Maybe SVT will take this to a new legal level at the UBU. We will follow this closelly.
